I am an avid cruiser and I had never used these before.  On a cruise last year for a friends birthday, we had a little gift pack that included a couple of them and I thought "Hey - what GREAT idea!".   Since the walls of the cabins are mostly metal you can hang these almost anywhere in the room.  Including the ceiling. (Just don't go near the fire/water stuff!)
